I know you think I am a monster but I am really am a nice person. I don’t scare people, Mrs. Petrocelli. I don’t even know why I am in jail for something I didn’t do. I didn’t do nothing in the store. I have a lot to live for I am only sixteen years old and am locked up. Do you know how I feel to see my father cry? No I don’t think you know how it feels at all.
Mrs. Petrocelli, why do you think I am a monster? You can't call me out of my name if you don’t have nothing on me. Everybody don’t think I am a monster, just you. And that hurts that you think that about me and you don’t even know me like that. All I can say is I was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Mrs. Petrocelli I will tell you everything that happened. I was going to the drugstore to get me some candy and as I was walking to the store I saw Bobo and King and them and I had went inside the store. I was still looking for some candy. After I got my candy I pay for it and walked out the door.
When I walked out the store Bobo and King started to walked inside the store. They didn’t have a gun or nothing. They looked at me and asked me do I want to be a lookout? I looked away and headed back home then I got half way up the street and I heard the gun go off so I had ran past the store and try to make it home but I guess the boys must had thought it was me because I was running pass it.
I swear I don’t have anything to do that with that stuff. Than the judge started talking about giving me 25 years. About time I get out I'll be 36 and I don’t want to do that long for something I didn’t even do. Bobo don’t even care as you can see I am the only one that’s scared of jail. I am only 16, these are grown men that killed somebody or rapped somebody and all the other people crazy. The people that in here those are the ones you can call a monster. Mrs. Petrocelli please help me.
